I enjoyed the main characters, I enjoyed how the issues dealt with herein-bullying, For some reason, I thought this was a YA tale.

I’ve seen the movie and I really didn’t like it at all but I’m willing to give the book a try. Loved the Swedish film version the pedophilia was implied, not graphic like the book. How do you move on to another book after this?

I’m sure there was nothing lost in translation and the writing is fluid and beautiful-I can’t quite put my finger on what it was that triggered it but once that switch was flipped, it stayed on-I was very aware of it, somehow. Even in the world of vampire novels this one is head and shoulders above any other modern-day interpretations.
I can’t say that about Bella and Edward. I may revisit this some day, or I might just be satisfied with watching the original movie which I still haven’t seen! It is also a story of lonely children, of bullying, of perversion.
